FRIDAY 8 SEPTEMBER AT THE CASTLE OF SANTA SEVERA, “LA MIA VITA IN UNA SCATOLA DI PELLICOLA”

Exceptional pre-opening for the 12th edition of the International Tour Film Festival 2023; in the splendid setting of the Castle of Santa Severa there will be a screening of the docufilm Franco Zeffirelli - My life in a film box directed by Donatella Baglivo, as part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the great director's birth.

Luxury guests will be the director Donatella Baglivo and the Oscar winner Gianni Quaranta who worked for years side by side with Franco Zeffirelli taking care of numerous stagings of his most beautiful works.

The docufilm is an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Franco Zeffirelli's film Un Tè con Mussolini, where the Maestro talks about his life and his art.

The film, set in Florence during the 1930s and 1940s, follows a group of foreign women played by first-rate actresses such as Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Lili Tomlin and Cher.

Through interviews on the set, director Donatella Baglivo captures all the implications of the intense and collaborative atmosphere that is created during filming, an essential combination for the creation of a true work of art.
